Two words that sound the same but mean different things.
Both words can get you in trouble.
The commission of something can be bad or good. Committing an offense is a good example of a bad thing but committing your password to memory is a good thing.
Omission of an important step in a process, such as a background check on an employee could have a bad result, but omitting a hateful comment on social media from a summary of feedback would be a smart thing to do.
It is early in the year, a good time to think about the good stuff we want to commit to doing this year and the bad stuff we want to omit from our lives.
