The typical board package is prepared on paper and distributed. In that way the board only gets the information that management is prepared to give. What if the board could view the financial information of an organization whenever they wish?
Some organizations are moving towards board portals with dash boards that are always up to date showing the metrics that board members have asked to see. As technology improves, many more organizations should be able to afford this type of access.
