Employee Use of Organization’s Property

Do your employees use computers, phones or vehicles that are owned by the organization? If so, have you established any policies or guidelines? An example is personal use.

Are your employees allowed to use their vehicles for personal trips? Can they use their computers for personal email or their smartphone for personal photos?  Is it clear that an employee has no expectation of privacy if they are using an employer provided device? I am sure that your employees are not going to abuse their privilege, but as I always say, the best time for a policy is before you need it.
