I am opposed to spending money for anything that could be a deduction and not being able to get a receipt. Halifax, where I live, has recently fixed the problem of getting a receipt from a parking meter. The HotSpot app is now active for parking meters in Halifax. You can download the app, set up your payment information and you are ready to go. The next time you are standing in front of a parking meter you are able to open the app, enter the parking meter number and buy parking. When you are finished parking you let the app know this fact and you pay for exactly the amount of parking that you used. You save some money because you only pay for parking you use and you get a receipt. Two good things.
