This tip is concerning the policy for term limits. Using the template which I have been talking about for the past couple of tips we would document the following. The Policy Name is Board Term Limits. The policy applies to board members. The explanation is that a person may serve for three terms of three years each as a board member, after which they may not serve on the board. The policy is explained in the policy manual. The nominating committee tracks board member terms and will advise a board member when they will no longer be eligible to serve on the board. There is no consequence for non-compliance because there will be compliance.
