Governance in general has a bad reputation.
Governance means rules and risks. Governance is no fun.
The holiday season is even worse. All I am saying when I talk about holiday governance is how you should not serve alcohol if people are driving and how the food you serve should be prepared in a commercial kitchen.
Those holiday parities – if you are going to serve alcohol – how do you make sure that no one who had a drink at your party got behind a wheel of a car when they left? Grinch or not these are risks that must be considered.
Check out my weekly tip on basicboardgovernance.ca or my YouTube channel for more of this.
I am currently in Whistler where there is not enough snow for cross country skiing but I walked for a couple of hours today. It is snowing so maybe tomorrow will be better.
This picture illustrates both governance and snow. Watch our for flying slush – a truly Canadian risk.
